FPTV announces September’s movies of the month

Last modified on 2011-11-02 14:39:17 GMT. 262 comments. Top.

Similar to the last few years, FPTV will be broadcasting two newly released movies on channel 25 every month. This month will continue last year’s momentum with two brand new movies that were just released on DVD, Your Highness and Limitless.

Your Highness features an all star cast with Danny McBride, James Franco, Natalie Portman, and Zooey Deschanel. The movie is about two warriors that must save his virgin girlfriend from a villain before she is raped. McBride was also a producer for the movie and brings his classic comedic style into his character. In total, the grossed $26 million in the box office.

Limitless stars Hollywood stars including Bradley Cooper, Abbie Cornish, and Robert De Niro. This thriller features Cooper in his most serious role as an actor, much more serious than the Hangover. In the movie, he takes a new type of drug that helps him become more productive and uses that success to finish his book and join the stock market. Not all things are perfect though as you will see in this suspenseful movie. Limitless grossed over $155 million in the box office.

The FPTV movies of the month air every other day and are played three or four times a day. There are plenty of chances to watch them, so check out our fall schedule when we announce it within the next few weeks.

FPTV will continue to get newly released movies and will try to get a variety of genres. Next month will have one new released movie and one Halloween classic, a tradition started when FPTV first got the movie broadcasting contract. If you want to see a certain newly released movie, comment on this page or email us at fpctv@franklinpierce.edu.

Introducing the new TV studio closet

The Fitzwater Center for Communications has begun the master control room, which is behind the control room. In total, about a dozen televisions, old cameras, five VHS players, hundreds of miscellaneous cables, and more were taken out of the small room.

Most of the items will be donated to places around campus or to the local schools in Rindge and Jaffrey. The goal is to make more room in master control for easy access to cables and to store cameras and tripods for Fitzwater Center rentals.

The studio will be back to normal by the beginning of the academic school year, August 29th. View all the photos at FPTV25′s Flickr Gallery

Attention incoming freshman!

Last modified on 2011-11-02 14:39:18 GMT. 502 comments. Top.

Hello all, I am FPTV Station Manager Mike Davies. I am going into my senior year here at Franklin Pierce University and wanted to welcome all of you who are just starting. I, along with the entire FPTV executive board, am very excited to get the ball rolling again for this upcoming fall semester. Over the past few years, FPTV has added numerous shows and has even began filming in high definition! We are ready to continue our momentum and we want you to help!

FPTV offers many different opportunities to get involved. It is up to you whether or not you are up to the task! Also, FPTV will be having a station meeting on Friday September 2nd at noon in the TV studio. All interested in filming should come!

Here are ways you can contribute and who to get in contact with:

FPTV NEWSCAST: The most professional show on FPTV is the FPTV newscast. The newscast films a majority of their show in the studio and requires a lot of crew. The news requires both talent and behind the scenes work. Students can be an anchor, reporter, cameraman, graphics coordinator, and many other positions. The out of studio work is filming packages of events around campus. Those interested can contact Samantha Deabay at deabays@live.franklinpierce.edu or just wait until the station meeting.

Ground Pound, NFL Review Show

SPORTS SHOWS: FPTV’s sports department includes Ravens’ Sports Recap and Ground Pound. Ravens’ Sports Recap is a recap of all Ravens athletics and includes highlights from games. Students can film games on campus or be a camera person in the studio. Ground Pound is a NFL recap and review show. The show is also looking for a third analyst to discuss football. Most of the production is completed in post production, but students interested in editing or filming you should contact Jen Connors at connorsje@live.franklinpierce.edu for more information.

ENTERTAINMENT SHOWS: The entertainment department currently has the most shows, varying from in and out of studio shows. The most popular out of studio show is Kool Kidz. The show is about two college kids who are trying to be cool, but are actually complete losers. The show is always looking for people to help film or act throughout the week. The most popular in studio show is Roommatez, which is a spinoff of the Newlywed Game. Two pairs of roommates are put to the test to see how much they really know about their roommate. The show always brings in a crowd and audiences are encouraged. Anyone can be on the show and it is a guaranteed laugh every show. Another show, Raven Made, is a show dedicated to student work filmed while at FPU. Last year featured short movies and mini television series. This year, the show is looking for more skits that can be about anything. There are also more shows in the works right now including Game Over (video game review show), a countdown review show, and more! Contact James Connelly at connellyj@live.franklinpierce.edu for more details!

The TV Studio in the Fitzwater Center

COMMERCIALS: Another department we have is the commercial department. These commercials are played in between show breaks and can vary from 15 seconds to 1 minute. The commercials are usually for activities around campus or for FPTV shows. We are always looking for new creative commercials, so email Alex Terrill at terrilla@live.franklinpierce.edu with ideas or to find out ways to get involved.

PROGRAMMING: None of the shows filmed would be made possible without the help from our programming department. These people are

in charge of making DVDs of each show and making sure they are played at the right time of day. Anyone interested in helping program should contact Mat Overdeput and Bobby Driscoll at overdeputm@live.franklinpierce.edu and driscollr@live.franklinpierce.edu for more information.

The Control Room

TECHNICAL REPAIR: On certain occasions, our equipment may not work for some reason. People in the technical operations department are responsible for fixing the damaged equipment and to make sure everything is running perfectly. For more information contact Eric Taverna at tavernae@live.franklinpierce.edu.

As you can see, there are a ton of ways of getting involved with FPTV. There are no limits to how many shows or departments you work for! All work done with FPTV is extremely helpful with learning about filming and a great resume builder. Its never too early to get involved with FPTV. Like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, and check out our YouTube.

FPTV will be outside of the freshman courtyard on move-in day. Come over to our tent, check out our shows and cameras, and get on our emailing list! The station meeting will be on Friday September 2nd at noon in the TV studio. I hope to see you all there!

Camera one fixed

Last modified on 2011-07-25 14:37:40 GMT. 104 comments. Top.

After a long semester of two-camera in-studio filming, camera one is finally back in perfect condition.  Media technical specialist Greg King repaired the camera last week by replacing the high resolution digital broadcast video cable.

New cable for camera one

The repair took just under 30 minutes, which involved disassembling the tube covering the cables and taping cables together to avoid separation. The cameras are back in their original places and have been tested.

The addition of camera one will bring back variety to all in-studio shows. The camera originally went down days after the spring 2011 semester began. In-studio shows were forced to film with only two cameras, creating extra work for the cameramen.  Shows, including FPTV News, Ground Pound, and Roommatez had to reorganize rundowns in order to accommodate for the broken camera.

The studio is almost 100% fixed, with the camera one teleprompter still no repaired yet. All equipment will be working by the time the first show is filmed in the studio this semester, Monday September 5th.

This year, FPTV will be archiving more pictures and posting them on facebook and flickr.

The idea came when the executive board wanted to hang up pictures in the FPTV office. Now, the executive board wants the fans to have a behind the scenes look of what is going on in the Fitzwater Center.

FPTV executive board moving back on campus August 21st

Last modified on 2011-07-22 18:53:01 GMT. 97 comments. Top.

As a part of the yearly tradition, FPTV’s executive board will be moving into their dorms a week before the rest of the Franklin Pierce University campus. The executive board will spend that Sunday moving in and will then start a full week of meetings the next day. Station Manager Mike Davies confirmed the news yesterday

“I was just waiting for an email back from Dr. Nevious because we had to all be approved by residential life. Once I got the news I told the executive board and now everyone is on the same page,” said Davies.

The group of students returning includes Station Manager Mike Davies, Executive Producer of Entertainment James Connelly, Executive Producer of News Samantha Deabay, Executive Producer of Sports Jen Connors, Executive Producer of Commercials Alex Terrill, Directors of Programming Mat Overdeput and Bobby Driscoll, and Technical Operations Director Eric Taverna.

The executive board returns early in order to prepare for the upcoming year of shows and other business. Some of the items on the schedule include preparations for incoming freshman, creating a new schedule for the fall semester, and other ways to get people involved with FPTV.

“One of the goals I have this year is to bring FPTV to every person on campus. Not only for watching shows, but also publicizing events going on around campus. The television station should be used to broadcast information about clubs or other organizations,” said Davies.

The week of meetings will end with a FPTV executive board photo shoot in the studio. These pictures will be posted on FPTV’s Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking websites. The rest of the campus moves in Sunday August 28th.

FPTV25 executive board’s summer plans

Last modified on 2011-06-16 20:55:36 GMT. 92 comments. Top.

All eight executive board members are busy this summer, all for different reasons.  Check out what your FPTV crew is up to!

Jen Connors – Executive Producer of Sports

I’m working at the conference center on campus helping with the conferences and different groups that come up here over the summer and use our facilities. Conferences haven’t started to come up yet so we’re busy getting everything set up for when they do. I’m staying on campus but I’m going back to New York for a couple of weeks at some point I think.

I’m working through a list of television shows that I’ve always wanted to watch but never had time to when I’m not working or antagonizing you at work. I’m also brushing up on some sports knowledge so I can improve my duties as next year’s Executive Producer of sports.

I’m writing an album review in a couple of weeks and I want to do a movie review at some point.  That’s how I’m spending my summer vacation.

James Connelly – Executive Producer of Entertainment

This summer is panning out to be my busiest summer yet. I am talking busier than the Busy World of Richard Scary. I am currently a sports intern at Fox 25 and during this internship I have already been able to attend and help report from the Bruins game seven against the Tampa Bay Lightning. It is a crazy experience when Bruins goalie Tim Thomas is climbing over you trying to get to his locker for the reporters to hurl questions at him. Also I have been able to cover some great local high school sports and it is great to get outside of the studio.

I quickly realized I needed a job this summer so I knew I could not do another summer of landscaping. So I called my summer camp job and I am working days at the camp and nights at Fox. On an FPTV note I am thrilled to get back up to Rindge to have in my opinion FPTV’s biggest year. I am taking over as Executive Producer of Entertainment. In my opinion the station is fueled by our entertainment shows and for this year I plan to set the bar so high that Andre the Giant would have to stand on his toes to reach it. I have said in the past we will keep the staple shows on FPTV’s entertainment branch. Shows such as Roommatezand Kool Kidz will return for the Final Seasons and Raven Made will be back for season two.

Summer time at the Fitzwater Center (photo: Michael Davies)

As high quality as I thought Kool Kidz was this semester there was one problem TWO EPISODES does not cut it one bit. I am currently working on the Final Season and am hoping for five or six 30-minute episodes for FPTV’s Fitzie Award Winner for Best Show. Roommatez, well it has been said in the past, but for people to keep watching I think the best slogan for this season would have to be “Roommatez: We’re Bringing the Crazy.” I think Roommatez needs to be almost out of control this year and I will be working on that this summer. Also Raven Made... come on people this is a great show and a great looking show GET THOSE VIDEOS IN! As for new shows Joe Show has not been renewed for another season but instead a spin off called Ally has been brought to the FPTV network and should really bring a fresh look to talk shows on FPTV and finally a show not dominated but all dudes! Also for new shows Eric Taverna will be hosting a new show called Game Over which is a show that has been in the works for half a year now and its finally in a position to go through and will open all sorts of doors for students who love video games. What I can tell you now as I hammer out the rundown and shape the show it will involve Eric hosting the show with a co-host which I am currently in the search for and there will be two guests on every week the show is filmed. It will be a very interactive show and I say that because this is not some review show.

Game Over will share the spot light with Roommatez as most interactive campus show. And on a smaller note I am trying to start a mini series based on a Multi-Cam project called Roll Record. So overall this is a crazy summer but never have I been so excited to come back to school and I think students new and returning are going to be very impressed in what they see.

Eric Taverna – Technical Operations Director

I am interning at the Medfield Local Channel 8.  So far so good! My mentor, Peter Fasciano, is a genius and I am learning a lot of technical information. I am also working at Moe’s at the Hanover Mall.

I went to Canada this past weekend for an F1 race. I am finding time to spend with myself almost everyday, long boarding like Alex Terrill, and enjoying chewing tobacco.

Alex Terrill – Executive Producer of Commercials

I am currently working several different jobs this summer. Every Tuesday and Wednesday I work 8am to 6pm editing short eight-minute Psychology Learning videos. The videos are based off a college textbook and they will be using the videos that my coworker and I are editing.

Every now and then I get a call from Joe Cavellero, producer of the World Championship Fighting, and edit online shorts for him based off of the passed event footage as well as help film the events. I am a Buser/Runner/Barback every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at a high-end restaurant called “5 Corners Kitchen” in Marblehead, Massachusetts.  I am also helping my dad with construction work such as building and installing wooden fences, cleaning gutters and painting.

What I do in my free time usually involves filming my friends long boarding. I am enjoying the nightlife in my area as a 21 year old and have had some good times with friends watching the Bruins win.

Mathew Overdeput – Co-Director of Programming

So far, I went to Europe for ten days to visit my family in Ibiza. It was awesome. Everything was great! I was so happy to see my family and be exposed to the European culture once again. I saw David Guetta live at Pacha Ibiza…fabulous show.

After arriving home from Europe, I found out my internship I had planned for, fell through the floor. They had to cut the program due to monetary problems. I already burned the bridges with other places, so I manage to secure my part time job back at T-Bones. While working for T-Bones, my manager heard of my internship and offered me an internship at the T-Bones Headquarters. I’ll be working two different jobs, but for the same company. One as a Host/Busser, the other as a Business Intern.

As far as that goes, I managed to luck out with my internship and work, and will be working/interning and enjoying the summer with my friends from home.

Bobby Driscoll – Co-Director of Programming

For the summer I am working at Red Bones catering in Somerville, Massachusetts. I will also be helping out at my city’s Public Access Channel, RevereTV.

Samantha Deabay – Executive Producer of News

During the summer I will be going into my third year as a director of summer programs at East Lyme Aquatic and Fitness Center, where I will be planning and teaching swim lessons for the center as well promoting other summer programs that are being offered for children.  I will also be a nanny for two young boys named Mika and Maddux through out the summer months.

Already this summer I have visited St. Pete Beach Florida where I got to enjoy four days of warm weather and sun while being beach side at the Don Cesar Resort.  I also went to cover the Republican debate at St. Anselm’s College where I along with three other Franklin Pierce students where able in interview Republican candidates or their representatives.  Through this I will also be a student mentor for the Presidency and the Press, which is a conference for high school students interested in media that’s from July 16th through July 20th and held on Franklin Pierce’s Rindge Campus.

Michael Davies – FPTV Station Manager

Although the Rindge campus is significantly quieter than during the academic year, it feels like the year never ended.  Not only because it feels like fall with the current temperatures, but I have also increased my workload from previous summers.  This summer I am working at the Fitzwater Center Depot during weekdays and interning at WHDH Boston on the weekends.

I have managed to have some time off however.  I attended a Red Sox game at Fenway Park and also found time to donate blood for the American Red Cross.  I also celebrated James’ 21st birthday at a local bar.  It still feels weird to be old enough to go to adult places!  A few weekends ago, I saw my sister walk across stage to receive her diploma from Simmons College.  Seeing her receive this made me realize how valuable time can be.  I really want to cherish my last year at Franklin Pierce University and have zero regrets. That means increasing my responsibilities as station manager.

A glance at the new-look FPTV office

My goal as station manager is to reconnect FPTV with the Franklin Pierce community.  That may sound cliché, but I noticed how few people utilize FPTV as a way to broadcast to the entire campus.  Reestablishing old alliances could result in more commercials, more news stories, and more opportunities for people to support FPTV.  I intend on emailing people in charge of community services and other large groups on campus.  I also want to keep our valuable website running!

For the Depot, I will be manager next year so I have been responsible for taking inventory and cleaning computers.  I also made a ton of signs so my employees do not mess anything up!  A large portion of the summer will be dedicated to burning library VHSs to DVDs.

The most eventful working this summer has come from my channel seven news internship.  It is a true blessing to be working in the sports department.  For those of you who are unaware, I love sports.  I am in charge of logging Red Sox games and post game interviews.  My boss told me I will be doing a lot this summer, including a chance to film stand-ups at Fenway Park.  My goal is to ask a lot of questions and never slack off.  I am hoping my time at WHDH evolves into something after I graduate.  That is a story for next summer.

As you can tell, I am extremely excited for the upcoming semester and I want FPTV to reach a new level.  I am here for our faithful viewers and want to make being a part of FPTV an enjoyable experience.  Enjoy your summer ladies and gentlemen!

FPTV Office Replaces Desk

The FPTV office received a slight renovation with the addition of the Pierce Arrow’s old desk.  FPTV requested the old brown desk be removed from the office in order to create for space.  This new desk gives more room for the executive board to do editing on their laptops.

Expect more changes to occur throughout the summer!

Winners of the 6th Annual Fitzies Announced

Last modified on 2011-05-09 19:50:30 GMT. 101 comments. Top.

A week ago today marked the 6th annual Fitzies Awards.  Created by Natayla Waye, the award show was to show appreciation for all the hard work done in each media outlet for the Fitzwater Center for Communications.  Station Manager Nicholas Caramico took over control of the Fitzies last year and created videos for each award with orchestral music in the background.

The different outlets honored were FPTV-25, Franklin Pierce Radio, the Pierce Arrow, Ravens’ Sports Network, and the Fitz Online.  This year’s theme was based off the Academy Awards.

FPTV-25 had six different categories ranging from best talent to crew member of the year.  Most of the votes were close and the results were as follows:

Show of the Year - Kool Kidz

Host of the Year - Joe Landini (The Joe Show)

Excellence in Editing - Eric Taverna (Kool Kidz)

Male Talent of the Year - Casey Williams (Kool Kidz)

Female Talent of the Year - Ally Billingsley (The Joe Show)

Crew Member of the Year - Bobby Driscoll

Junior Eric Taverna won two Fitzies for his efforts on Kool Kidz.  ”It felt good,” said Taverna.

Ground Pound, FPTV’s NFL talk show, also received a Fitzie for Outstanding Sports Program in the Ravens’ Sports Network division.

Sample of this year's Fitzies award certificates

As a final goodbye, Landini filmed his last episode of The Joe Show last week.  This hour long episode will play throughout the summer.  Billingsley will be taking over for Joe with her new show called The Ally Show.

Next year’s Fitzies will most likely continue the theme of the Academy Awards.  It will also be the last Fitzie awards for five of the current FPTV executive board members before graduation.

Although the Fitzies celebrates the end of the year for the Pierce Media Group, all outlets will continue to work hard throughout the summer and into the Fall 2011 semester.  Overall, this year’s Fitzies was the most successful of all time.

FPTV Announces May Movie

FPTV will only be showing one movie for the month of May due to the semester coming to an end; however, the movie selected is a real knockout winner.

The FPTV executive board has selected The Fighter to be played during the month of May.  This Academy Award nominated movie is based off the true story of Micky Ward’s climb to the top to the welterweight boxing title.  Micky has to also fight against problems with his brother and other family members.  Micky’s brother, Christian Bale, is his trainer who use to box, but became addicted to drugs.  Micky’s girlfriend, Amy Adams, is not accepted by the rest of his family results in conflict throughout the movie.

The movie had much success in box offices around the world, totaling just under $130 million.  The Academy Awards nominated The Fighter for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Editing; the movie won for Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress.  The movie’s success in the Academy Awards has brought interest to the nation and is a must see film.

Next year, FPTV will continue to select more new releases to be aired monthly.

The movies air on weekdays at noon, 9pm, and midnight.  Check www.fptv25.comTwitter, and Facebook for all show and movie updates.

Station Manager’s Rug Samples Missing

Last modified on 2011-04-19 17:52:53 GMT. 99 comments. Top.

Two rug samples are missing from the FPTV office.  One week after receiving the samples, Station Manager Nick Caramico displayed the samples as decoration for the office.  The FPTV Executive Board enjoyed using the samples as a doorstop, but were missing just days after.

Sources close to the matter said that Caramico’s mom sent him the samples because of a room remodeling in New Jersey. The samples were last seen near the door of the TV Station office in the Marlin Fitzwater Center for Communications.

FPTV has opened a full station investigation in order to find out what exactly happened to the samples.  Caramico desperately wants his rug back.

If you have any information please contact FPTV.

Host of Roommatez and FPTV Beta Trade Places

Last modified on 2011-04-04 12:49:00 GMT. 97 comments. Top.

by Michael Davies

In the blockbuster trade of the year, James Connelly and Nick Caramico have switched host positions for Roommatez and FPTV Beta.  The switch came days after the airing of the April Fools’ Week on FPTV.

During this week, Joe Landini hosted Roommatez, Caramico hosted The Joe Show, and Connelly hosted FPTV Beta.  After every show filmed, Connelly knew he wanted to make the switch over to FPTV Beta.

“I think as a television personality, I felt it was time to try something new.  I knew it would be a great learning experience for me to attempt a show that requires more work and effort,” said Connelly.

Caramico, the former host who created the show last semester, also accepted the change.  With graduation less than two months away, Caramico accepted Connelly’s request.

“I enjoyed hosting a different show than I have in the past.  Switching shows will be easier for me,” said Caramico.

With Roommatez in its fourth season, Caramico knows the format and said he will have no problems with the switch.  The only difficult part Caramico saw was creating different questions every week.  At this time, the show will make no other changes.

On the other hand, Connelly has big changes in mind for FPTV Beta.

“I want to bring to people a humorous 30 minutes of television that viewers will want to watch over and over again,” said Connelly.

Viewers will have the chance to see these new hosts in action next Monday, April 4th at their regularly scheduled time.  Connelly will continue hosting FPTV Beta into next year; however, Roommatez will begin to search for a new host for next semester.

Check out FPTV’s Youtube page for a sneak peak at Connelly’s first official show as host.

Although FPTV’s March movies have only aired for 11 days, it is never too early to look ahead at next month’s movies.

The FPTV executive board has selected The Social Network and Due Date to be played during the month of April.  Both movies had success in the box office with The Social Network grossing over $221 million and Due Date grossing over $200 million.

FPTV has continued their trend of one comedy and one drama/action movie each month.  Due Date, staring Robery Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis, shows the struggle of the star duo making their way to California.  On the other hand, The Social Network is based on the true story of Mark Zuckerberg’s creation of Facebook and his fight against two lawsuits.

These two movies have been added to the impressive arsenal of new released movies on FPTV.  This semester alone has seen new movies including Despicable Me, Inception, The Town, Easy A, Dinner for Schmucks, and Takers.  Although unconfirmed, the month of May should also feature a new released movie.

The movies air on weekdays at noon, 9pm, and midnight.  Check www.fptv25.com, Twitter, and Facebook for all show and movie updates.

Almost a year after their series premiere, Kool Kidz will be available on FPTV25’s YouTube page.  After numerous rumors of the move, FPTV25 unexpectedly posted the Funeral Fashion Show from the season two premiere.

The Funeral Fashion show was one of the many highlights of the new season.  The move to YouTube gives the world a taste of what the Kool Kidz are bringing to the table for season two.  And this table is about to get a lot larger.

It has also been confirmed that the Kool Kidz will be adding all four episodes in their entirety to YouTube.  This will be over an hour of Kool Kidz footage at the click of a button.  When asked about the move to YouTube, Danny Zesta gave a classic kool response.  “Why not?,” said Zesta.

The move to YouTube has been long awaited by fans, and now Kool Kidz can be watched without commercials.  The official postings will take place of FPTV25’s YouTube page by the end of March.  By then, episode five will be airing on FPTV25.

With all of this important news happening, be sure to check out the Kool Kidz’s Facebook page for all additional information.

Station Manager’s Message to Freshmen

by Nick Caramico, FPTV Station Manager

Beginning college is definitely an interesting, fun, and once in a lifetime experience. It may not be the easiest thing to get used to, but in time, you will find your place on this campus. I know that I certainly have found mine.

I am from northern New Jersey, 15 minutes away from New York City. Coming to Franklin Pierce for me was a huge geographical shock. Things weren’t open 24/7, there are more trees and geese than buildings or people, and I had to pump my own gas. For some of you, there may not be that much getting used to, but there is always that initial time to adjust to a new way of life.

This University’s Television station helped my adjustment become a lot smoother than I anticipated.

My first week on campus I attended the full station meeting. Never having really worked with camera equipment, and certainly never editing a video, I admit it was a lot to take in, but I knew it was what I wanted to do.

Within the first month of my freshman year, I had helped crew on every entertainment show, assisted in filming a commercial for the Bubble, and even was a contestant on Roommatez. My interest in this field grew very quickly, and before long I was editing videos on my own and coming up to the station at night for a few hours to help film shows.

My sophomore year I produced two programs. The Boot and College Feud. I was Executive Producer of Commercials, and filmed unique commercials for clubs and shows. Junior year, I created the position of Online Director and expanded the stations presence outside the campus. I covered the 2009 MTVU Woodie Awards and produced the first daily show in which the station covered the 2010 Winter Olympics.

My history at this station is not unlike others before. Hard work, commitment, and of course fun go into making this station what it has evolved into.

I would like to invite any incoming freshman that is even mildly interested in television production to come to our full station meeting, September 3rd at 1:00 pm. There are so many opportunities here in the Fitzwater Center and we are truly a very welcoming family. I spend a lot of time with my current Executive Board and I am confident that this year will be a very successful one for this station.

Please don’t be intimidated to approach anyone on my staff, as they have all been in the same position you may be in. We welcome new ideas that may improve the station as we continue to grow.

This University may be small, but I know that I have received more hands on experience in this field than I would have gotten at a larger institution. I tell you my story so you can see all the opportunity that this station, the Pierce Media Group, the Fitzwater Center, and Franklin Pierce University has to offer.

So please, follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and visit this website. If you are not interested in being a part of the station, please watch channel 25 in your dorm rooms and see all the hard work your friends and peers are putting in. Thank You and stay tuned to all the big things to come.

Welcome
