As a part of the yearly tradition, FPTV’s executive board will be moving into their dorms a week before the rest of the Franklin Pierce University campus. The executive board will spend that Sunday moving in and will then start a full week of meetings the next day. Station Manager Mike Davies confirmed the news yesterday

“I was just waiting for an email back from Dr. Nevious because we had to all be approved by residential life. Once I got the news I told the executive board and now everyone is on the same page,” said Davies.

The group of students returning includes Station Manager Mike Davies, Executive Producer of Entertainment James Connelly, Executive Producer of News Samantha Deabay, Executive Producer of Sports Jen Connors, Executive Producer of Commercials Alex Terrill, Directors of Programming Mat Overdeput and Bobby Driscoll, and Technical Operations Director Eric Taverna.

The executive board returns early in order to prepare for the upcoming year of shows and other business. Some of the items on the schedule include preparations for incoming freshman, creating a new schedule for the fall semester, and other ways to get people involved with FPTV.

“One of the goals I have this year is to bring FPTV to every person on campus. Not only for watching shows, but also publicizing events going on around campus. The television station should be used to broadcast information about clubs or other organizations,” said Davies.

The week of meetings will end with a FPTV executive board photo shoot in the studio. These pictures will be posted on FPTV’s Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking websites. The rest of the campus moves in Sunday August 28th.
