Students and faculty are use to walking around geese on their way to class. Imagine walking by a cow! In a strange turn of events, three cows escaped from a local farm and made their way onto the Franklin Pierce University campus Monday morning.  Junior Samantha Deabay was one of the first people to see a roaming cow.

“I was working at the Presidency of the Press and I went outside for 15 minutes. As I was walking out of the Fitzwater Center I opened the door and looked to left to see a brown cow staring at me,” said Deabay. “I didn’t beleive it. It kept moving towards me so I went back inside.”

Fitzwater Center grad assistant Jason Raft made the heroic phone call to campus safety stressing that this wasnt a prank phone call. All three were found and brought back safely to the farm before Sodexo got their hands on them.

These cows are just another bizarre animals to come across campus. Other animals seen around campus include turkeys, pheasants, moose, and skunks.
