Station Meeting this Friday at Noon
This Friday, January 27th, FPTV will be having a station meeting in the TV studio (located in the Fitzwater Center). Anyone who wants to help out with the TV station should come to this meeting! There are plenty of wats to get involved with FPTV. We film shows both in-studio and out-of-studio. Anyone can join!
This semester, we have plenty of open slots in the studio, so we are open to new show ideas!

FPTV releases schedule for spring 2012 semester
FPTV has announced its schedule for this semester. Because FPTV did not receive money to continue the movie contract, there will be no movies of the month this semester.
The spring schedule includes most of the shows from last semester and a few new ones as well. The shows that are no longer on FPTV include Ask Ally, List This, and Roommatez.

New York Comic Con 2011
Comic Con invited FPTV back to cover their event after successful coverage from last year’s convention. Overdeput was in charge of the arrangements and made sure everyone had press passes. Now that the production team has left, they are excited to leave and wonder if this year’s convention will be similar to last year’s.
Comic Con is a yearly convention in which thousands of people meet to see newly released movies, video games, and TV shows in a convention setting. More >
FPTV Alumni Check In: Alexis Auffray
Upon graduation I saved up some money waitressing in New York and packed up to back pack through Europe for the month of July 2010. My adventures took me to London, Amsterdam, Interlaken Switzerland, Venice Italy, Mykonos Greece, Paris France, and Madrid Spain.

November movie of the month now playing
The November movie is in! FPTV’s movie of the month is Fast Five. FPTV is continuing to keep their word with showing new released movies with different genres.
Fast Five, starring Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, and Dwayne Johnson, is the fifth movie of the Fast and Furious series. The movie made over $600 million in the box office and many consider this movie to be the best of one yet.

Pandemic!
Pandemic, is a co-operative board game made by Z-Man Games in 2008. Unlike the web browser version, your goal is the save humanity, rather than destroy it. Pandemic the board game is designed for 2 to 5 players, but unlike other board games where players compete to win, players must compete with the game itself in order to win.
Pandemic has a relatively simple goal with simple rules with it. The objective of the game is to remove the four unusual diseases that have pop up around the world. More >

The FPTV crew plans to stay at former station manager Nick Caramico’s house for the weekend. After being invited back as press by Comic Con, Caramico will also be going to the convention with FPTV.

Netflix: The Pheonix Company
After Reed Hastings, CEO of Netflix announced the separation of DVD mailings and online streaming; the result led to a wide confusion amongst customers. Hasting is executing an idea to create a daughter corporation for Netflix known as Qwikster. Qwikster will take the online streaming role of Netflix, while Netflix it will be continuing to use its mailing system.
